IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY
Stay Calm & Secure Vehicle: Turn on hazard lights immediately. Pull onto the shoulder as far as possible.
Check for Injuries: Check yourself and passengers; call 911 immediately if anyone is injured.
Safety First: If smoke or flames are present, move at least 50 ft away from the vehicle.

IN CASE OF A WRECK
Call Police: Even in minor accidents, a police report is crucial for insurance.
Exchange Information: Get names, phone numbers, driver's license numbers, and insurance details from other drivers.
Document the Scene: Take photos of vehicle damage, license plates, the overall scene, and any visible injuries.
Gather Witnesses: Get contact information from any witnesses.
Do Not Admit Fault: Do not say "I'm sorry" or admit blame, as this can be used against you.
TIRE BLOWOUT
Do Not Slam Brakes: Grip the steering wheel firmly and keep it straight.
Ease Off Gas: Slowly lift off the accelerator to slow down naturally.
Pull Over: Once speed is low, pull onto a safe, flat surface.
Change or Call: Change the tire if safe, or call roadside assistance.
BLOWN ENGINE
Turn Hazards On: Immediately pull over to a safe location.
Check Gauges: Identify if the engine is overheating or steaming.
Do Not Re-start: If you hear knocking, do not try to restart the car.
Wait for Assist: Call roadside assistance or a tow truck — this requires professional inspection.
POST-INCIDENT ACTIONS
